Why are healthy habits important for our wellness?


Healthy habits are things we do daily that promote health and wellness in our lives. Habits are behaviours that we do without thinking about or giving a second thought about, we just do them automatically.


Important habits don't always need to be about your physical health but can also be a beauty habit, mental habit, manners habit and many more. Basically all the things that make you feel good, feel energised and motivated.


There are many benefits of healthy habits -


  • More energy

  • Stronger immune system

  • Maintain a healthy weight

  • Live longer

  • Improve your mood

  • Protect you from serious health problems


Habits make up everything you do from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed. The key is to focus on the habits that benefit you.


A new habit can take up to 21 days in a row to instill, depending on the person and the habit you choose, but it is a good place for you to start.


There are many ways to start a habit, it is a case of finding one that works best for you, be that trying to eat healthy and not buying any unhealthy foods, to getting more sleep by going to bed 30 minutes earlier each night or to give time for self care and book a beauty treatment.


Here are some healthy habits to get you started -


  • Exercise at least 5 times a week

  • Drink at least 8 ounce glasses of water every day

  • Sleep at least 8 hours every night

  • Book a beauty treatment once a month

  • Eat a balanced diet


It will seem hard at the beginning to adopt these new habits but the more you do them and the more consistent you are, the easier they will become and the easier they will be to stick to.
